Department of Plant and Environmental Sciences > Research > Plant Glycobiology
Section for Plant Glycobiology
The section undertakes research and teaching related to plant glycans, extracellular matrixes and plant diseases. Major research themes include the biosynthesis, evolution and industrial utilisation of plant cell walls, starch and plant microbe interactions. The section is equiped with state of the art infrastructure for plant glycobiology including carbohydrate microarrays and equipment for the separation, purification and analysis of oligo- and polysaccharides.
