New Master Students at UCPH
Two new Master Students have started their projects within INTERACT during February. Read here about their background and what they will work on.
Master Student Alexander Holmgaard Andersen
I am interested in what is going on in the interaction between plants and microorganisms and its role in plant health. I have previously done an internship in the R&D-department at FMC that aims to discover plant growth promoting bacteria, and I have been employed under the MATRIX-project that researches the role of phyllosphere fungi in plant resilience. Under INTERACT I will look into the impact of CLP-production by Pseudomonas on a microbial consortium and how this in turn affects plant gene expression.

Master Student Frederik Vejen Vig Fich
I’m studying a master in microbiology here in Copenhagen and have been doing some projects about plant-growth-promoting-bacteria and plant diseases on wheat. My thesis at the interact project will be to investigate how viscosin secreted by Pseudomonas fluorescens will affect the composition of a constructed consortium in vitro and in planta. Hopefully we can construct a consortium that can fight pathogens on wheat.
