History of plant pathology.

Research output: Chapter in Book/Report/Conference proceedingBook chapterResearchpeer-review

This chapter describes how understanding of plant disease has evolved, leading to the concept of pathogens as causal agents of disease. There have been additional paradigm shifts from the early discoveries of plant pathogens and their roles to the recent advances in biological science and technology. This has led to an increasingly improved knowledge of the biology of interactions between plants and pathogens.
