My research focuses on soil/plant nutrient cycling, atmospheric greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions, and agronomic management, particularly exploring the impact of land use transformation on soil properties, chemical processes, atmospheric emissions, and water quality. Methodologically, my approach involves both qualitative and quantitative data analysis, employing interdisciplinary methods. Currently, I am collaborating with the University of Guelph Canada, and Agriculture and Agri-Food Canada on a European Union-funded project (AgPro4CSA-895209) under Horizon 2020 Marie Skłodowska-Curie Actions (MSCA). My research aims to develop mitigation strategies for agricultural practices by deeply understanding the mechanisms involved in GHG production and emission from agricultural soils. I utilize various technologies for my research such as the micromet flux gradient method of flux measurements, automatic chambers equipped with TDLAS-TE analyzers, LICOR, and PICARRO, as well as Planar Optods systems, and biogeochemical models (e.g. DNDC, Daisy).

Teaching-wise, I cover courses such as Climate Smart Soils, Tropical Crop Production, and Advanced Crop Production, among others, and engage in supervising Bachelor's, Master's, and co-supervising PhD projects.
