Edward is a Colombian student with great passion about agricultural research. He carried out his bachelor studies in Agronomy at Universidad Nacional de Colombia in Bogota, Colombia. He obtained a master degree in Molecular Life Sciences at Université de Lausanne in Switzerland. His fields of interest involve plant-microbe interactions and the use of symbiotic associations in agricultural biotechnology.
His research is focused on understanding the role of endophytes in disease suppression on wheat and their potential use as biological control agents against Fusarium Head Blight (Fusarium spp.)
