Accelerating the Biologicals Revolution – From Discovery to Farm Adoption
How can biological solutions move from promising research to widespread use in agriculture?
This question sets the direction for the PBN Annual symposium 2026, which brings together researchers, start-ups, companies, farmers, advisors and regulatory authorities. This year’s programme includes:
- From idea to start-up – translating scientific discoveries into commercial biological products and viable companies.
- Biologicals for nutrient use efficiency and soil health – exploring how biological products can improve nutrient use efficiency and soil function.
- From lab to field – connecting scientific advances with practical farming experience, including large-scale on-farm production of biological crop protection in Brazil.
- Regulatory initiatives for biologicals – discussing how European and national regulation can support innovation and accelerate the adoption of biological plant protection products.
An open-space breakout workshop will allow participants to join smaller discussions, exchange experiences and contribute ideas for future research, collaboration, regulation and practical implementation.
Join us to explore the latest science, practical experiences and future opportunities for biological solutions in agriculture.
Abstract submission
Participants from academia and industry are invited to submit abstracts describing original research and new projects. The symposium working group will review and select abstracts for short flash talks during the symposium sessions and/or for the poster session at the symposium.
Deadline for abstract submission is Monday 5 October 2026.
