My research at the DynaMo Center focuses on the dynamic changes that metabolic pathways undergo.
Through quantitative proteomics and metabolomics, I seek to describe the relationship between enzyme activity and abundance – and how these parameters determine metabolic flux. This requires multidisciplinary work bringing together principles such as analytical chemistry and systems biology.
I have been establishing assays for targeted quantification of enzymes by LCMS, and I am currently embarking on a project which seeks to build a mathematical model for the glucosinolate biosynthesis.
