I work on the interaction between the opportunistic pathogen Cryptococcus neoformans and plants, with a special interest in the oxidative copper enzymes, e.g. LPMOs.
We are looking at phenotypic traits by growing wildtype and mutants under different conditions. Methods we use include: microscopy (stereo, light, confocal, transmission electron, and scanning electron microscopy), proteomics, qPCR, etc.
Primary fields of research
Biological role of cobber enzymes and proteins in plant pathogens.
