M.C. Bjørn pursues research in areas of Ecology to provide innovative research on grassland restoration for Urban and sub-urban environments. Her research is focused on native species, their ecology, habitat specialization and associated Biodiversity. Within the last five years, she has had a significant focus on nature-based-solutions for urban environments to provide state-of-the-art research on Optimizing Habitat Quality in Urban Ecosystems. As PI Dr. Bjørn has vast and continuous experience in collaboration with private and public stakeholders on innovation- and research projects.
