Fungi Festival

Fungi festival

We are celebrating 'World Fungus Day' with a huge exhibition of mushrooms and toadstools, lectures about fungi and lots of news about how fungi can save the climate and protect biodiversity; and about fungal diseases in agriculture and in humans, and much more!

MycologyDK - the collaboration network of Danish fungal researchers - holds a Fungal Festival with contributions from over 20 Danish organizations (universities, industries, start-ups, etc.).

The Fungal Association's Local Branch, Zealand, will contribute with a large and fantastic exhibition of fresh fungi and show examples of fungal dyeing. Researchers will talk about fungi as building materials, for beer production, as wood decomposers, fungi and indoor climate, fungi in ant & termite nests, zombie fungi, fungi for food fermentation, fungi as gourmet and fungi in biotechnology - and not least the distribution of fungi (Denmark's Svampeatlas and Svampe i Arktis), and a fantastic new book about fungi.

The festival is free, and all are welcome from 10.00 to 17.00 both days (the 5th and the 6th of October).

Entrance via the main entrance on Bülowsvej 17, over the courtyard and inside (follow the signs and mushrooms)
