Rosa Laura López Marqués' doctoral dissertation defence
Rosa Laura López Marqués, Associate Professor in the Department of Plant and Environmental Sciences, will defend her doctoral thesis on Wednesday 18 January 2023 at 13:00 in order to be awarded the Doctor in Science degree.
"Plant lipid flippases of the P4 ATPase family"
This thesis deals with the P4 ATPase subfamily of lipid flippases, their role in maintaining membrane properties (impermeability, flexibility) by transporting lipids to the cytosolic membrane leaflet, in vesicular trafficking of solutes and proteins in and out of the cells, and in lipid signaling events that allow the cells to adapt to different environmental conditions.
